剧版《歌舞青春》第2季发布前瞻视频，宣布东高戏剧部的学生们将要上演《美女与野兽》。新季目前正在拍摄中，预计今年Disney 开播。

该剧共10集，是纪录片风格，时间设定在第一部电影推出后15年(类似真实生活时间)，讲述东高一群学生设计排演音乐剧《歌舞青春》，发现戏外的抓马跟剧中一样多。每集会有一首新歌，加上一首来自原电影的曲目。
